  3. Now sold thanks
  4. Ok I need to sell a lot of stuff gathered over the years cos my Corsair needs money spent on it and I haven't got any! This is a folder like a wooden crate and it has various item like price guide, confidential details for salesmen comparing Mexico to other makes, specification details marked 'not for publication before 13 November'. Papers for Rally Sport Dealers only, what magazines Ford will be advertising in with pictures of the ads 'We brought it back from Mexico'. The Escort Mexico 'The ideal Clubmans Rally Car' and a colour brochure with pictures of the car and accessories I must be honest and say its not in mint, mint condition but is very good and I have not seen another that has all thats in it. Whats it worth? well How about £120? you tell me. These are some of the things in it there are a couple more but you get the idea. Paul [/img]
  5. Thats what I am hoping!
  6. Does red RS2000 GNS 820 N still exist? DVLA sat liability was 1990 so maybe. If so I have its Owner Literature that was found in the glove box For sale on ebay and on here.
  7. Owners literature for Mk1 Escort Mexico and RS2000 supplied by Wylies of Glasgow. Servic ebook/handbook Wylies adverising deatils of car reg number, key numbers etc. Car had first servive and was then written off I was told. £50 ono
  8. Bit of a long wait for this but finally got rid of the servo and everything works properly Plus a problem I also had with my engine hunting on a light throttle has been cured. Did not think that was down to the servo but there must have been an air leak in the servo, so double whammy! Thanks. Paul
  9. Thanks for your help. Paul
  10. With a servo? Paul
  11. Just what I thought after your first post, thanks. Do you think dropping to a 5/8 master cylinder would be ok and run without a servo? I also have discs on the rear, usual Sierra calipers/Fiesta discs. Paul
  12. Newly purchased Lockheed remote servo 2;1 ratio. Cheers, Paul
  13. I have fitted 3 door Cosworth 4 pot calipers and 285mm discs to my car and I have used a .875 master cylinder with remote servo. When you apply the brakes the pistons move out and clamp the pads but when you take your foot off the pistons retract off of the pad by less than 1mm. When you reapply there is a small amount of pedal travel. Now all is bled correctly no air and I have rebuilt the calipers with new pistons and rubbers (which they did not need as it turned out!). A friend has suggested that the size of the master cylinder piston may be pulling fluid back when you release the brakes and therefore pulling the pistons back as well. Strange but it sort of makes sense. Never had this happen in 40 years of playing with cars. Anyone with any ideas out there? As a temporary solution I have made up some ally shims between pad and piston but with wear it will come back. Paul

  21. RS 2000 Mexico Mk1 Escort owners literature Wylies/ Glasgow pictures self explanatory. Understand that the car was written off fairly early in its life. Paul
  22. Yes it was a four door converted to two. Builder is no longer Corsair Club member so don't know what has happened apart from nothing the last I heard. It did not look quite right as the windscreen was a bit to upright and this made the roof rather high. I do know of another in the planning stage but can't say more! Pictre was in Classic Ford about 5 or 6 years ago. Charles Thompson the Corsairs designer did pen two examples that weren't followed up by Ford. Paul
  23. Fresh version of Rob Shands Corsair pickup built for him and a new slightly different Coupe
  24. Your wish is my command! Last two are new model of club member Rob Shands black pickup. Check out 'the Corsair that got away' in this index. Paul
  25. now in colour & trimed!
