Picked up two this morning. I know the omega ain't a osf but I thought It would show the size of my truck bed. It's also gonna be used for the drift nights at arena Essex. The second is a consul classic which hasn't been out the garage for 30 years.

Ok mate thanks for the feedback I'll upload some pictures and get some comments on here from people who have used me.

Well my cortina has gone and iv got my recovery truck. I will be doing all types of recovery from crash pick ups to eBay buys. I'm fully insured under my traders policy and because we have re-trimed a couple of real cobras the insurance is upto 250,000 I'm located in Essex near Chelmsford but will go pretty much anywhere. The truck can carry pretty much most things under large van size as it has a wide bed. Give me a text, call for a quote 07837281686 Or you can email me mrprecovery@hotmail.co.uk Thanks lee

I have a 5 speed out of a Sierra on it already is that the same or different. Engine mounts is not a problem. Do I have to have anything altertered in the way of fly wheels like a zetec conversion or sump alterations???

I have post in the transplant section but as this section has more hits and I'm in a hurry before the engine gets snapped up. I wanna put a mk5 escort rs2000 engine in my Capri. Is this something anyone has done. Any info is much appreciated.

thanks for your comments, Be good to look into see if i can build some history about the car. As for the insurance i had no problem insuring it. As i said i know it was done very early on in its life and it looks like a professional job, so all i can say is it must have been done when it was converted. Its down as a convertible on the v5 so who knows. let the hunt begin to find out who did the conversion. the side skirts are also solid steel which im guessing is where the strength comes from.

this is my my mk3 2.0s convertible. dont know who it was done by, all i do know is it started of life as a gold 2.0s and very early on in its life was converted. by what i can tell it was done by either a firm or someone who knew what they were doing. It has a 2.8i interior with shark gray recaros. Engine is fairly standard apart from high lift cam, twin choke webber and k&n filter. Janspeed exhaust and thats about it. i no it wont be everyones cup of tea but i like it,except when the roof is up but i say you dont buy a car for what itlooks like with the roof up.

haha most people say that. na i havnt got a big family...story is, i bought one 2 years ago (a manual one) with the intention of driving it to belgium with me mates on my stag do, i lost my job before that so it had to be sold.....always loved driving it and the attention you get so said if i had the chance id buy another one. then in january my wife fell pregnant and we started talking about me getting a spare car to get to work, so i found this lol. always thought about lowering it but didnt know what it would be like to drive. i like the idea of polishing the rims might look into that.

been on the site a couple of weeks and thought id better upload some pictures. i know it isnt everyones cup of tea but the way i see it when was the last time you see one. [/img] plans are to change the carb to a 3lt twin choke webber, k&n air filter, tidy up the engine bay. change the auto box for a manual one (nearly ready to do it just gotta pick up my box) then i dont really no...any suggestions?

Whats the furthest you have travelled for a OSF
mrprecovery replied to mrprecovery's topic in CHIT CHAT
well i made it back total of 467 miles ones way in about 7 1/2 hours . apart from the last 100 miles or so with it sounding like a tank as it blew a massive hole in the exhaust box but never mind. just thought i would add whilst driving home in my 1985 ford been setting for 6 mounths i over took (as they were on the hard shoulder broken down) RR phaton(or what ever they are the new ones) 2 audi's bmw 5series countless french crap and the trusty old v6 kept on going. must admit made me fill happy of my buy. -
