Hello all, Ive been driving my Capri for 7 months with no issues but since my wifes been driving it as her car is off road with no MOT I now seem to get a nasty vibration at a stand still or throughout the rev range, I'm thinking engine mounts? Is there any way I can check this before I replace them or could something else be causing this apart from the wife!! Question 2! I have no dash lights or rear wiper I have checked all fuses and they are fine so not sure whats going on there? unless theres another fuse box which I'm sure there ain't?? Any help would be great!! Yeah, I did mention that I'm insured with Heritage £201 fully comp!

Mate thats terrible what a 5 star tinker lol. Haven't you beaten the shit out of him yet?? I know I would put him in hospital to the point he has to eat through a straw and then beat him again. fook the police they're useless a good old fashioned beating is whats needed.

Right I am now insured with Heritage insurance for £201 the year fully comp with agreed value which is not bad as I have 6 points! I tried all the other insurers aswell but this was the best offer. So cheers to all that helped with the info!!!

Hmmm!..... Performance Direct.... I was insured with them about 10 years ago they stitched me right up which cost me a few hundred quid! Tried to sort it with manager and we had a serious slagging match over the phone, He was a right pr!ck I even went out my way and worked out how long it would take to drive to his office and punch his face in!! He was to far away and I would of chilled out by then! i was with them same thing stitch up.so went to [ russian bear ] on here Im not the only one then! I will be getting a quote from russian bear in the week..

I found that - You phone different insurances and they use the same people but at a different price! I will give them a try though!

The Capri is my main car I don't do a lot of miles because I have 3 kids + the wife! we also have a E class Merc so its usually out in the Merc. Maybe able to work insurance some how with both cars???

Thats a bargain mate! with recovery... That would do me just fine! I will try them. I use heratige too about 500 quid for my mex, gran ada, capri, golf and moggie minor and landy all fully comp agreed value etc b ut limited milages No sh!t! for all of them on one policy???

Just had a quick look at their site I will get them to ring me when I know I'm home! I'm working 12hr shifts for the next few days so not much time on my hands! I suppose I will have to speak to a few insurers, I bloody hate phones! Online is so much easier!

Insurance is a feckin nightmare! You hear all the time how cheap Classic Insurance is and when you try it aint worth the bother!? I will try Lancaster in the week..

My insurance is up in March and might be a good idea for a change to look around early, I have a 2.8 Capri bog standard but want classic insurance for about 2000 miles a year, fully comp, full no claims, 33 years old with 6 bonus points on me licence! Any good insurers about cheap?? just had a quote £400 but I can pay less than that with most normal insurances! Prefer to do online ones, cant stand talking to them on the phone!

Looks like valvoline is the stuff to use!!

I didn't get Valvoline as every where was closed except for Halfords which I ended up buying their own brand which is 5w 30 part synthetic which was in there book but now looking at it it says its for modern engines from 98 onwards even though thats the stuff in the book? What do you lot think???
