hi ,not sure if you found your car yet, i have a vgc mk5 estate going up for sale very soon, zeebarted from new , new batt, new rear shoes and cylinders, 4 brand new matching tyres and vg spare. brand new shocks all round and new rear springs. electronic ignition starts every time, full service, new cam belt and tensioner, 11 months mot, 6 months tax. fully original body so no hidden respray rust. im the third owner. 2.0L crusader. very nice car, but i am looking for 2.5k. as all new stuff has been done in the last month, new shocks n springs going on this weekend. .. but if you have a project already, this will be of no use lol

i wired mine this year and like the others say, there is so much useful info on the internet that it made it quite easy. im an overkill man and did over size all the cable but make sure you use protection as you go through the bulk head and the such so you dont chafe wires, use the right size fuses and relays.., i looked for simple diagrams by googleing, how to wire headlights, how to wire indicators etc to get a less confusing single diagram of a circuit,. others may say this was a more difficult way of doing it and uses more cable, and they may be right but this was my first time too and 6 months in i have had no wire problems at all and i have quite a lot of extras over a standard loom. also i made the mistake of not keeping an eye on a couple of wires that fell out of their pre fixed saddles and when i fitted the final spades (terminated the wires) i was left kicking myself and hd to re run a few wires or be short.. safety safety safety, you dont want a fire. good luck
