For sale is my mk2 escort 1600 Ghia, 4 door in Strato Silver. 1979 - T reg with 7 previous owners. I have owned the car since January 2010 and only the purchase of my latest old skool ford project forces sale. Car is taxed until September 2013, and current MOT runs out in a couple of weeks, but the car is booked in next week so will come with 1 years MOT. It has 1.6 711M crossflow engine with twin weber 40's. These were set up and rolling roaded by AT speed in Rayleigh, Essex in August 2011. Also has an electronic ignition with angle cap dizzy ( black cap) Spec: New radiator, electric fan with kenlowe control new steering rack and track rod ends - recently fitted from Burtons ( May 2013) sportex exhaust system with 4 into 1 big headed manifold 13x7 JBW superlites with 175/50/13 tyres standard spare wheel 2" lowering springs on front - (burtons) and 2" lowering blocks to match on the rear RS2000 boot spoiler Fibreglass mexico front spoiler Rare F.O.R.D letter grill GAZ adjustable rear shocks Fully polybushed front and rear New pattern rear lights Black GHIA trim with RS2000 fishnet recaros, they are both passenger seats but still work and look great and do not need the pull forward levers because of the rear doors. A very solid honest and good value 4 door Ghia that needs some attention to the bodywork but no major rot in the usual areas. An example of an old skool ford that is ready to go for the late summer use. My car is known on the old skool forum and has been at most meets and shows over the last 2 years. Great 1st day out with Old Skool Ford for me.Looking forward to the next one

After much persuading from my brother ( Tall Paul !) i bought my escort at the end of Jan and considering its age its not in bad nick. Interior is great doesnt look like it is over 30 years in age. The outside wasnt great visually it just needs some TLC and touching up here and there. So far to get it on the road ive changed the bushes over to polybushes, put on a new sportex exhaust system, lowered 2 inches and got a lovely set of Ford original 5.5j steels. Looking forward to getting it out and about on the roads of Essex!!
