I've finally decided to get my mk1 escort back on the road over this summer so thought I'd register here as I'm going to need a whole load of advice I'm in Hertfordshire and own a '72 Mk1 escort. Originally a 1100l it's now a 2l convertible - converted around 20 years ago. I bought it around 8 years ago and used it pretty much daily,unfortunately the engine blew up around 6 years ago and it's been sat in my garage gathering dust since. Other than a new engine it's going to need a little TLC to get it back on the road again so look out for a whole load of questions of the coming weeks and months!
