I can't imagine I'll be lifting a wheel going round a corner as I prefer to go down the drag strip which is a straight line.

My Anglia has currently got an english axle with a 4.1 diff fitted. I'm looking at getting a limited slip diff. can anyone advise me as which type is the best? Also I believe they are not easy to fit yourself so does anyone know of anywhere near Milton Keynes that would fit it.

They are 185/60 R13's all round.

We got there late Friday morning and spent all afternoon going up the strip. No queues so had loads of runs. Only thinking stopping us was letting the cars cool down!

Thanks for them. That was on the Sunday, and it was my worst run of the whole weekend. Friday afternoon was a lot better.

Thanks for the comments. I was considering taking part but I want to get the car to run a bit quicker first. I'll be up the Pod on Sunday at the final round to give it some more runs.

Here are some pics of my 1966 Anglia Estate. Its powered by a 2.1L pinto, with twin 40's, it has a 5 speed gearbox, and now a 4.1 diff. I've just raced it at the Hot Rod Drags at Shakespeare County Raceway, and it ran a best of 16.7 secs at 83mph. , ,

I'll be up there. Just put a 4.1 diff in Anglia Estate so need to see if my times have improved.

Just joined the site and would like to introduce myself. I'm 44 from sunny Milton Keynes. I drive a 1966 Ford Anglia estate. It's power comes from a 2.1 Pinto running Weber 40 DCOE's. Its got 3.0 Capri front legs and disc brakes, escort rack and pinion steering and a 5 speed gearbox with Quaife quickshift. Looking forward to running it up the strip.
