gog440w Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Just a heads up for anyone within reach of york, there is a single venue rally at Melbourne Airfield (York Dragway) on Sunday 13th May. There will be a right mix of cars from scoobies to skodas but there will be loads of MK1 and MK2 escorts including 2 mk2 with 16v vaux power and MK1 with a 190bhp 1600 16v vaux engine run by some of my mates in huddersfield motor club.

Lorraine won the 1600 class by over 2 minutes, martin was 3rd in 2litre class and after some technical issues (spat rotor arm and dizzy cap off in mid stage) Walt manged 13th in 2 litre class. Loads of mk1 and 2 escorts including some in the hrcr championship. Also had a laugh watching the guys in the tr7 V8`s try to get the power down on streaming wet concrete.
