crapichris Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 thought I had bust the clutch on Saturday - and not the best bit of Luton to breakdown in!! I was stuck behind a Ford Ka driver on a 1/10 hill at a junction. She had several goes at rolling back into me before she eventually managed to move off the junction. I brought the clutch up and hey presto - pedal goes straight to the floor with the clutch full on. I managed to start it in gear and get home- luckily I was less than 800m from home. My first thought was the eyelet on the cable had broke (the usual breaking point) but when I got under the dash it turned out to be the blue plastic mounting that the pin sits inon the pedal - completely split in two through old age. After about 30 minutes I managed to find a spare and fit it. All working fine now. Anyone else had this plastic bit break? Any ideas where to buy a spare (apart from rummaging in the breakers )??
