Mod used to have hundreds of Escort estates, Transits, Mk2, 3,4 5, cortinas, and Knowing the Mod they probably had a spare engine for every car, and probably enough body panels to keep ford in production for 6 months, a couple of years ago I visited one of my favorate breakers in Oxford, I was chatting to the owner, just to see what he had in new, MoD stock, 250 Bedford TK 4x4 steerable front axles, new and complete, and 200 Hilman avenger Estate tailgates, and LOADS more

we use that paint at work to paint the rebuilt mod engines 8)

Because that's whats in my MK1 :D

 

Didn't realise that the MOD used them as well but makes sense now you say it Ian :thumbsup:

The yard Im talking about is Huges, just outside Bichester

Its probably not hammerite mate, but looks like it :?
it is more like hammerite green & im still asking about for you mate as im sure it was a well known company that did it :? but that is deffo not a MOD engine in yours as we used to paint truck engines like that steam clean & paint & yours is just the block :wink:
