rs new boy Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 can it sprayed to anything or does it have to be bare metal
Gareth Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 It's always best to have bare metal, As long as the surface is flat and is rough enough to provide a good key for the primer then it'll be ok That said, if you ever plan a bare metal spray job use etch primer
deluxe Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 its a waste of money to use etch primer where the metal is not bare. Use filler primer on top of it and other surfaces not bare metal
Tom Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 ^^^^ he's right, etch primer is for use on bare metal as it sticks well to it and primer then sticks well to that
