Sorry if Ive misled you fella's or gave you the wrong impression but if I did end up with it being diesel powered I'd leave it well alone with standard power.

Yeah, and how long would that last? The urge to tweak something to make it go faster never goes away and I reckon it'd only be a matter of weeks before you decided to try and get some more power.

have you thought about gas half the price and twice as much to your usal gallon diseal would get on my tits personal i would rather keep to petrol e.g mrs as got mk1 granny 2litre does 20 to gallon, gallon petrol is a £5, gas is £2.50 gallon, we going gas on it as it will do 40 miles on a fiver and the price is only rough as last time brought gas it was 36p a litra, and the kits are good to had a jag that had been done it was cheaper to run than my tdi land rover only a fought for you

If you got the 1.8tddi out of the focus/mondeo they go like buggery if you chip them.. got about 120bhp and 300nm of torque in my focus and it will out accelerate almost anything. Also I drive it like a tw*t to work every day and still get over 40 to gallon. only cost £240 for chip and half an hour to fit (and most of that was trying to get the bloody plug off the pump to plug the new bit in)
