changing wheels on a minichamps and lowering

hi i have a few mk1 escorts made by minichamps only problem is i would like to change the wheels and lower one of them but i dont know where to start any help would be great

There originally off a Sunstar models mk2 escort rs 1800, however Burago 1.16th sacle mini cooper mini lights fit with a screw throgh the middle, as do solido mini cooper minilights.

 

The sunstar wheels are more involved ie you have to gently remove the wheels off the hubs the carefully cut the hubs off at the base of the axel to then glue onto the mk1 escorts hubs, or you can moddify the minichamps suspension to accept the sunstars mk2 escort susspension though its very time consuming and not for the faint hearted one mistake and both cars are buggered.

 

I will sometime soon post up a photo step by step guild as to how all are done, if you can wait.
