escortmad79 Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 After I'd driven the estate back from Teignmouth yesterday I had it parked by the garage & was unloading the spares out of the boot. I left the engine running & it was ok but after a few minutes it spluttered & stalled. When I went to restart it, it kept cutting out everytime I went to start her. Eventually she spluttered into life just enough for me to get the car into the garage. Haven't tried it today to see if it's ok. It's an 1100 HC crossflow & still has a dynamo fitted which rattles like a b*tch
Gonzo Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 could be anything. dynamo shouldn't be a problem really... dodgy plugs? leads? coil? done the points recently? could be the dizzy cap cuz they wear out eventually... bad earth or connection somewhere?
