mk1mexico Posted August 21, 2007 Report Posted August 21, 2007 Well iv now decided to keep the mk1, but on sunday we went for a drive out with the Cumbria RSOC and my water pump gave up miles from home So today i got a new pump (22 quid ) and thought whilst iv got the cam belt off i will put in some 2 litre cams. Off down the scrappy got a set of 2 litre cams and followers from a 66k engine for a tenner Fitted it all back up a took it for a spin. I really dont know why i didnt do it earlier its loads quicker and the carbs sound amazing now Thats my happiness story for the day
