Hi i'm doing my first project, a mk1 escort 4 door 1100 to 2.0 l pinto conversion. Does anyone know of any manuals to help with this and where to get them.

 

Also i'm trying to locate a smaller oil pickup pipe to suit the rs sump i've fitted and having little luck, If getting hold of one is going to be tough can the existing one be fabricated to fit..

 

Any advice on anything regarding this project will be greatly appreciated, Engine is in transmission tunnel has been enlarged but thats about it so far.

Ref. oil pick up pipe. If RS pick up not available, it's fairly easy to convert exsisting pipe, just a few measurements, cut tack and trial fit before final welding. Have done a couple in past with no great problems. Assume you have access to welder having fitted larger tunnel. Are you using RS sump or cropping steel sump? Best advice trial fit before final welding. It'll be great to hear that pinto roar!!!!!
