Durham Fiesta Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 having a nightmare day today, trying to work on my van to get it sorted for its mot on a footpath in gale force winds as the parents are having a new drive put down, which leads to the other problem. I do all the work on the fiesta on the drive but i've been told today i can't put the car back on the drive once its finished in case anyhting is spilled etc on it. Then my mam said i should get rid of the fiesta cos she thinks i'll never get it done which has severely pissed me off. Need some help to get the fiesta sorted but can't find anyone to help so thinking of either selling it or putting it in the garage and forgetting about it for a while as its getting me pissed off. Rant over
Gonzo Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 you'll regret it the minute you sell it and you know it. do a jimbob and stick it in the naughty corner for a while to clear your head. and see if you can't 'borrow' one of those industrial mixing tray wotsits from somewhere to stick under the car when you do work on it.
antz Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 how about a washing up bowl for an spillages?
Durham Fiesta Posted September 16, 2007 Author Report Posted September 16, 2007 its the fact can't use a jack etc as the blocks are some fancy stuff and they don't want any scratches/chips put into them. If i could get the car running it'd be ok but don't have a clue with engines so i'm stuck
Gonzo Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 wrap the wheels of the jack in several layers of duck tape or something. that should stop em leaving tracks.
Durham Fiesta Posted September 16, 2007 Author Report Posted September 16, 2007 i'll find some way just need someone who knows their way around a xflow to give me a hand
