tyre question

i currently have 175/65 r13 on my rs alloys but i had a blow out tonight and i have a set of 4 165/65 r13 from my old steels and would like to put em on my rs alloys is this possible or not? ive herd from a guy at quickfit that tyres will stretch 10 mm but never seen it done??? got a tyre machine at work so was gonna do it tomoz just need reasurance

what are they six inch? i woulda thought they will fit but possibly wear slightly funny!

i get bored at work and put sizes on wheels like a 145,70 13 on a 6j wheel and a 195,45, on a 5.5.

People stretch 175's onto 7" rims, So I dont see why 165's shouldnt fit onto 6"

they fitted and they fitted realy easy saved me alot of money and the look rele cool and low profile!!! apart from my car can now no longer get over the speed bump at work

You could ask the boss to remove the speed bump. Point out that you'll get to work earlier, cos you ain't got to slow down on the way in.

this is y i had to change my tyres in the first place......

 

 

 

 

dfifting around in a disused factory ground with my mate in a 200sx and my back tyre hit a cut down steel gurder sticking out the concrete that i didnt see sticking out the floor and it cut a big slit in the tyre oh well its all sorted now !!
