SmokeEm Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Jeff Harris is sorting out my rattly top end in 10 days time by readjusting the tappets and changing the oil now that it has done 400miles since rebuild. What is the best oil bearing in mind spec of the engine? (Bottom end was untouched, now about 100k) Most people say Wynns 20/50 - Do you agree or what do you use?
abarth78 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 there is a silcolene (fuchs)20/50 which is used on race bike too
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 19, 2007 Admin Report Posted September 19, 2007 I would go with what Jeff recommends mate
SmokeEm Posted September 19, 2007 Author Report Posted September 19, 2007 I would go with what Jeff recommends mate I would but didn't want to ask him. I can't believe he's volunteered to do it for me on the cheap so I didn't want to be a pain. ps - thanks also to Messenjah who also offered to do them and to Jason H too
Slik 50 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 I used to run 20/50 Valvolene VR1 and never had a problem, but I would use what Jeff recomends
