I'm in the IT Team at work and have access to as much unmetered web as I want

 

Unfortunately, I'm totally overstretched and barely have time to s!^#t let alone go on the web.

 

Is it just that you aren't connected to the web, or that your accoutn doesn't have the rights to do so?

 

Try switiching off the proxy settings in IE

 

Tools --> Options --> LAN Settings --> Untick the box

 

It might just let you straight thru, No need to alert the boss to your skiving ways

Leon, we are gettin the internet on our computers at work, i think in the next couple of weeks.... your branch should follow shortly after... but they made us sign a form that said we are not allowed to access the internet for anything other than work reasons... i tried explaining to my boss that OSF is a work reason as its to do with cars but he is having none of it!
