What oil does everyone use in their car.

 

I've got a 1300 X/Flow and I'm not sure what to use.

Any 20/50 should be fine

i use 15/40 semi-synthetic Diesel oil in my essex v6. it keeps it`s `viscosity` better when it gets hot.

On my std 1600 x-flow, I use the cheapest 10-40 I can find, but then I have an oil leak and change my oil @ filter every 4,000 miles.

 

Should I be using 20/50 instead peeps?

10/40 is a bit too thin. 20/50 is thicker so it should not leak as bad

I used valvolene VR1 20/50 racing oil but after no end of problems got told to run 10/40 semi and soon after the car was writen of by some plank running into the back of it so I cant realy vouch for that

I use Valovolene in mine, my engine builder uses it all the time in his race engines and thats what he recomends...

i use the valvoline in my race engine, i ran some duckhams 20/50 before that and it was shite ! it ran like water . . .
