MOT Headlight Query

Hi Folks,

 

My car is nearing MOT, so I'm trying to tidy it up, but I have a question.

 

I've got a 10p piece size patch of rust on one of my headlight reflectors. Is this a guaranteed fail? Or just something a harccore VOSA inspector will do me on?

As long as the beam pattern is ok it will pass.

If I were testing it I'd wait and see what it did to the pattern. Without seeing the lamp its hard to say.

Again if its touch and go with that lamp I'll see if it fails on anything else.

But usually I'll pass and advise on something like that
