mk1esc Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 do the exhaust pipes go under or over the axle on vans & estates? My one goes over the axle.....
Scott W Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Thay go over the top of the axle and to the side of the fuel tank, there is one for sale on flea bay at the moment.
mk1esc Posted October 25, 2006 Author Report Posted October 25, 2006 thats what i taut!!!!!! the guy told me this "i got this properly made just for the van/estate as you know the exhaust goes under the axle on these models and not over the axle like the saloon mk2/mk1s" does it make any sense?????
Danmex Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Yeah, if you want to grind a hole in it on every speed bump and pot hole you go over Don't think he knew what he was talking about
Posse Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 i hand mine made and had it going under the axle and never had a problem
deluxe Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 dont think you can let it go under with standard suspension. The rear leafs have about 2 feet travel. If it is lowered on very firm springs it might go
Posse Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 mine was on standard springs etc and on 2ins lowering blocks.
deluxe Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 when van springs are firmer than sedan springs they have less travel so its makes sense
