  3. Thanks for the feedback guys and I will keep looking for somewhere in the South East. I have regular contact with Landlords and know of places where the Landlord just wants someone in. Security and Insurance can be arranged, providing there are enough people interested. I do think that a club would be a good idea and if you take a que from retro rides forum they have managed to find some where. Keep the ideas coming guys and of course girls.
  4. Well, ive been thinking about this idea for a long time. This post is just to gauge intrest in the first instance. I am sure that there are plenty of people out there who want somewhere either indoors or havent got any where to store or work on there projects. I work in the property business where I deal partly with aquiring buildings for clients, and I have access to a lot of property that a potential deal can be done. My plan is to find an industrial unit where space can be rented to work on the car for a minimum period. You bring your own tools, equipment etc... and share the cost of the building, for a reasonable rent. The larger the building that is rented the more cars can go in and keep costs down. I do know that there are various issues to overcome like insurance, everyone paying there rent on time or in advance, but for the mean time I look forward to getting some intrest on this idea.

  12. I can remember working for my Dad when I was a kid working round a house which belonged to John Major just before he became prime minister. Funny thing was I thought that his wife, was the cleaning lady and I thought it was apropreate to wear her slippers and also her shower cap, whilst cleaning up the mess that we had made.
  13. Personally I think it is "I dont want to admit defeat" so the person won't sell it. I Found a mk2 RS2000 belonged to a farmer who brought it new, drove it until the cambelt snapped and abandoned it in his barn. I tried to get it and he wouldnt sell it, he then died and the car was either crushed or broken up.
  14. A near mint 2 door mk2 escort shell LHD unwelded strut tops etc... and a spare pair of doors in mint condition?

  17. Well after being made redundant in June, and applying for countless jobs, I want to go out alone. I am a Chartered Building Surveyor and I will be offering a bespoke service in line with peoples budgets, i.e. if you are considering buying, altering or extending a house, I can advise on the whole process and point you in the right direction. I am happy to offer a discount for any OSF members, if I can just say a few words to get me started in business. Sorry it's not car related otherwise I would of provided some sponsership. Thanks....

  21. I have been for the last two years, you wont regret it! I cant go this year but will be next year for the classic. I would get there as early as possible as the best camp pitches go early, even if you are going for a package and make sure you go out to the musalane straight on thursday and friday around lunch. Go to the roundabouts adjacent tet rouge camp site friday night, but keep your distance from the chavs!

  23. cheers guys, I will have a think about it, the bikes been there about ten years..... the couple that supposedly live there turn up every two months at 4 in the morning and are alchoholics so I doubt they give a crap. I could say I found in the feild behind there house.
  24. I found an old motorbike in a scumbags garden that sponges two houses of the council and are never there and have no interest in it. Does anyone know if I can apply for the log book, I have heard somewhere that I can if no one replys to the DVLA letter. cheers.........
  25. My best tip is to strip the paint off first wiht nitromoors or blasting and see where the welds are, for the top. If you are not replacing the front panel get a very thin angle grinder disc and cut through the seam after removing the lights grill etc... You will need to remove the both doors to get to th ewelds on the door pillar and lastly there is a weld at the bottom of the A post. Good luck
