stoppodriver Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 I need some help please : I'm preparing an Anglia for Classic Hot Rod racing , can anyone help try some colour schemes ? I haven't got any pics to start from , any Anglia hot rod pic would do - I'd like to see what Red / white / blue looked like . starting with an overall white , with blue running along the centre of the boot / roof /bonnet ( along the body lines ) and coming down the front and around the grille area . Red on the lower half of the body , below the bodyline , some stars ( similar to Kevin woods anglia - see 105speed forum - gallery ) It is representing the '70's afterall , like white stars on the blue between the indicators and the radiator air intake , and a few on the red . I have no idea how you do photo shop or what you can acheive , if anyone can do the signwriting - if it's possible , I'd like to have " BERNARD FANNING RACING - COWDENBEATH " running along the top of the back wing door & front wing - in memory of my dad who died last year , and my name " AL FANNING " on the sun visor . If anyone has any good ideas on colour schemes have a go , i'd like to see them , nothings decided yet , if you come up with one i like i might use it - have a go . Regards AL.
Rick Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 post a base pic up mate, preferably high resolution and wel have a bash
stoppodriver Posted October 23, 2007 Author Report Posted October 23, 2007 Right , absolutley no idea how to do that - you have to understand that I only know enough about computers to really cock them up ! I did read the bit under FAQ's - but really none the wiser , I could build and paint this car quicker than I could figure out how this sort of thin works . I think i'll get the crayons out . Regards AL.
stoppodriver Posted October 24, 2007 Author Report Posted October 24, 2007 Cheers for that Wessie , if anyone fancies having a go , could you try using either the 306 , 23 , 516 or 33 car as a base - the 333 car is very nice but I don't think the front end looks very period and we're not allowed to run wings like the 66 car . Any red / white & blue variation or maybe some black & white checks ? Any suggestions on colours welcome . Thanks again . Regards AL.
stoppodriver Posted October 29, 2007 Author Report Posted October 29, 2007 I've tried myself , and to be honest , it looks like a five year old's done it . I've no idea how anyone gets the kind of results i've seen on here - so you have my admiration , also as it takes so long to do i'm amazed that there are people out there willing to do it for other people . I think i really will get the crayons out now - i think that's about my skill level . Regards AL.
tazrocks88 Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 how is that? i know its hasnt got all u asked for but i ran out of time
stoppodriver Posted October 30, 2007 Author Report Posted October 30, 2007 That's pretty good , I was thinking more white - but I quite like that , It's going to be metalflake ( the red & blue ) I know it's alot of work and it'll get damaged quite often - but I can't resist it . The way Polley's car has the white at the front and over the roof was what I was thinking ( but in blue , so the rest of the bonnet / roof / boot - would be white each side )- but now I'm not sure . Many thanks for that , it's much appreciated . If anyone else has any other variations on the theme , please have a go , like I said - I haven't decided on the paint scheme yet , so it could be one suggested on here . Thanks again . Regards AL.
stoppodriver Posted November 4, 2007 Author Report Posted November 4, 2007 Anyone else fancy having a go ? I appreciate the time / work involved - I thought that using another Hot rod pic as a base would make things easier , is the Sign writing etc too difficult ? Any help much appreciated . Regards AL.
stoppodriver Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 No takers then ? only tazrock . Very disapointing .
