The LAW states that if the tread patern can be veiwed ditectly from above, its Illegal, sidewalls dont count, as they are not tread,

The front you will get away with, just for your own peace of mind, you could just give the wings a tug and pull them out 5-10mm,

Couple of options for the rear, Possibly you may have enough metal on the wheel centre to machine a bit off allowing you to move wheels inboard a tiny bit, this is of course subject to the amount of room there is on the inside of the arches, If there is plenty of clearance another option may be to fit a 105e axle, thats about 2" narrower, but I think you have to re-weld the spring perches to fit the escort springs, or of course all the options you have listed above.

the axle going on the back is anouther 2inch's wider so they will stick out even further ,you ca see the tread about a 1/4 on rear's and just see the front's
