Been wondering for a while now so I thought it would be best to ask....how i should go about getting my cars times down...?

At the minute my car has done a best time of 13.5 at 110mph with a 2.5 sec 60ft time.

People have told me that for having a terminal speed so high, the times should be down on what they are :?

When on the quarter i was getting wheelspin...i was using a 3:9 welded diff, 16inch alloys and road tyres, launching at about 3k, which is not showing positive boost and at the time the car was making 270hp at the rear wheels...

With the car being turbo'd, what should i be doing to see my times into the twelves? Or even reduce the 60ft times?

Thanks,

Jim.

have you tryed slicks

do you have a launch control or anti lag.......so you can sit there with the car holding the revs and on boost, the down side being you need to get into staging quick so youve got time to get it on boost

obviously no point getting it boosting if your not gripping

I think without some type of launch control or boost control you in a situation where you can wheelspin or bog down.

I know on some systems you can set boost pressures for each gear. You might want a reduced boost in first, raising it in second then going full boost in third.

And Slicks will be a massive help too. Wide as possible

If you don't want to use slicks then try Toyo R888's as they are the lastest super grippy road tyre

what size is your turbo ? , a smaller one will always spin up quicker . my best time after six runs is below. im running a T- 3.5 with road tyers on normal pressure , too much fuel in the tank , and a 3:5 diff which is to tall . so ive hopefully got more to come
