Need some help..

I have a rev guage ready to go in the Volvo 340..

 

Havent got a scooby how to fit it..

 

Has anyone fitted one to a volvo 340 before? if not do you know how?

 

I know the + and earth but the other 2 wires go where

 

Any help greatly appreciated

They go on the coil dont they? One on positive one on negative. Thats how you get the engine speed from the pulses.

One of my mates done mechanics at college and he came round to help and he said it only has 1 lead from the coil or something or another and it would be difficult to do it

 

Im not a mechanic so i havent got a clue

My rev counter has four cables:

red - live

black - earth

yellow - connects to the headlamp switch (dims when lights are on)

green - -ve on the coil

As said previously 1 live 2 earth 3 neg on coil and one for the bulb in the counter

Thanks mate that may just help me out..

 

i also have the same colour wires, so this may help me.. Only problem was we had trouble finding the -ve on the coil but it wasnt me looking so cant blame me if this is a stupid error
