Just been browsing the net for Hols in Malta , spoke to Darren ....anyone whos been out there recommend anywhere in particular ?

Depends what you want. I have been eight times with the RN over the past 12 years. I have stayed in St Julians (st georges complex) late 90's into 2000's. St J's is the heart of the social scene. Very English/British friendly the Malteze. They love the Royal Navy. Any way, Selima which is between Valetta the capitol, not bad - old buses from the UK here. Selima was/is my preference place to stay now, its quiet and only 10-15 mins walk to the ale houses in St J's. Selima has bars for that quiet night.

 

When are you thinking of going? It is seasonal. I have been in and out. Summer - excellent - Autum - ok-ish Winter - no really good, how ever i have spent xmas there. Bloody amazing i tells ya.

 

Plenty of OSF's out there as well. I remember a garage on the way to St J's from Valetta. A ford garage dedicated to OSF's......like a dream come true!!! Best of luck. Happy Birthday......

i stayed in the RAMLA BAY hotel...i think tis called that.

 

its right on the nroth of the island but cos its so smal anyway it doesnt really matter
