DoireMan Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Probably a stupid question, but I hear people talking about 2.1 Pintos now and again, especially when talking about Escorts. I was looking it up, and can't see any history of a 2.1, so would I be right to assume a 2.1 is just a 2.0 bored out?

bmxdave Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 If you get the cylinders bored by someone, or even yourself, and you can build the engine yourself, then the cost of the oversized pistons and the boring and honing is all. Its not that expensive if you do it yourself really.
