ebay & car theft link

I just realised a potential trap that I nearly fell in to and thought I would pre-warn you as many of you put your ebay links on this site. It may well be an old scam but it only just occured to me. This is how it works:

 

I listed some ebay stuff on here, one of the cheaper items (£5). The bloke who won takes quite a few days to answer. Asks if he can pay by cheque. No problem I thought without thinking much about it.

 

It was only when he asked for my name and address (so he can send the cheque) and I realise he has zero feedback that it dawns on me that he could know what kind of car I have from here and once I give him the address he will know where to find it!

If he won your auction he already has your address that you listed with ebay on the invoice

 

i get this all the time from newbys who dont read thier invoices
