Unproductive day

As the osfdc is only a couple of weeks away i thought it was about time i fitted my LSD to the yellow snail.No problem as i had a spare 5spd box with what i thought was a 4.06 final drive ratio.After spending the best part of 2hrs trying to remove the 5th gear which can be a pain on these boxes i discovered it actually had a 3.58 :1 ratio,great for top end but no good for what i want it for.

So on to plan B which was to remove the box from a car i have in my yard which has the correct ratio,as soon as i start the heavens opened(sleet,hail,snow).finally got it removed about an hour ago but cant be arsed to strip it today as i,m cold ,wet and p***d off.

just to really annoy you i have a proper puller for escort 5th gears,if you need it let me know i used to build gearboxes & axles for a job & the escot box was my favourite box to do.

Cheers i had to modify a puller i had in the van so it would fit under the lip to pull it off.no problems with the other box as its a 4spd.Thanks for the offer though.
