i had the same problem and it was just me and my missus , we had been on the council list for a total of 7 years between us !!!!

i sat in the council office for a day and refused to leave until i had been offered accomadation and within 3 days i had our flat

they told me because we both earned money and were not a single parent or claiming benifits we werent entitled to a council place but trust after sitting in there ranting that immagrants have more rights than british to housing and just complaining evereday for 7 days it works just get on there back mate and they will get it sorted

do you have a points system where you live or is it done on the list still?

I dont think dean fully understood about council houses and like he said he didnt mean 2 offend.

A girl that i went to school with has got a 1 bed council flat that she shares with her 1 1/2 yr old son and bf.

She found it extremely difficult to get that, what with all the imigrants getting 1st dibs.

Getting ur foot onto the property ladder is extremely difficult. We'd love our own pad, but it'll be ages b4 we could ever afford anything!

It seems these days it really is best to be a lazy fook, not work, take drugs, have millions of kids, steal, rape, and not pay car insurance.

Youll have a far better life then anyone who actually works for a living.

My cousin is 26 and has 5 kids (all aged under 8). She managed o get her grubby paws on a gorgeous private rent house which is paid for by the council and she brags about the £30k a year she earns on benefits. Her partner (who is the kids Dad) works too but not enough to have the benefits cut. She's not worked a day in her bloody life!!!

I'm at uni and trying to better myself so Neil and me can have a half decent life and i cant even get a bleeding busary from the government. Its getting ridiculous now.

if you are finding it difficult mate to fund your uni costs try the princes trust , prodominatley they fund young people between the ages of 18-25 with funding to start there own business but they can also help you loads with uni costs it would be well worth you giving them a shout mate , if you dont want to ask them for help then just ask them to press all the buttons that need pressing for you to get a grant as they are probably the biggest young persons trust/support group in england :thumbsup:
