lee_capri Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 it was all going well doing the bit's but have relised it wont be done in 3 week's,even if i speand every spare hour on it eve's and all week-end's have seriously lost intrest now,and thinking about droping the engine and box in to the green machine, and haveing a mk1 cappa v8i instead with no body mod's which i could get done in week's and not 3 month's. have though about ripping the kit off the mk3 and putting new wing's on but that int the look i was looking for wanted to have some-thing special. dont want a cappa that look's like all the other mk3's wanted mine to be a little special which at the mo it int, that's why i went for a mk2 kit and not a mk3 kit,but at the moment i wish i had just broke it up. sorry to go on but im in a mood

hellblue Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 So many car's...... so little time you need a plan & stick to it mate
mk3cokebottle Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 lee mate , go in doors make a cup of tea sit down and dunk a biscuit then in about 15mins your little horns will pop out ya head again and you will not be beat , trust i wish i had stuck with my mk3 corty if you have seen my thread with it stuck on top of bigkevs old granada you can see why and you will no what im talking about ............. if you reckon that you can get the mk1 done and on the road then do it and put the mk3 on the shelf till next year so you have plenty of time to make it what you want it to be then you have got alot of weekends and stuff to make it perfect rather than rushing to get it done and not being happy with the finished product im sure that there are alot of osf folk that are near that would volunteer to give you a hand i know we all stick together local to get things done all the time ............. if it helps im breaking a mk3 2.0 s if you need anything off it

louie bagel Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 lee just smoke one of your happy fags and have a beer, i'd be surprised if you didn't get it done in time judging by the speed you chris and your lad have done the transplant and almost got the kit fitted, i say stick with it and dont give up, it aint dead till its buried Gwaan lee i know you can do it!!!!!!
lee_capri Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 it's the joining of the kit that is causeing problum's i hav'nt got 3 month's to keep sanding and filling wanted it to be perfect when it left the yard to go raceing again and not looking like a bag of poo has usal, just wanted it all done when i was younger like 20yr's younger i would have done something like this in a month no problum at all,now im nearly 40 i get frustrated when thing's dont turn out right has time is very precious,may-be i should buy some thing all done and ready to use but it would not be my car,any-one can buy one but to put your mark on some thing is some thing else, but i need a osf in 3 week's
louie bagel Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 i still think you will do it lee tell yourself you will get it done, get chris to rub it down during the day pay him with tea and fags
