yeh , should do matey as long as you tv is fairly new. I know the american ps2's would only show in black and white unless you used a scart connector. Not sure about HDMI . try one of the PS3 geeky sites they should be able to help. You need to check that the power supply is a switched mode one as america uses 115 Volts mains
