kirk10 Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 is it best to fit the roll cage in the car before painting the floor or is it ok to do it after dont want to scratch the paint to much trying to get it in whats peoples thoughts that have been there and done it ? also would you recomend welding the cage in or just bolt it ?
LEONMEX Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 fitted a rear cage in mine & it took three of us so as not to scratch the paint,i would say put it in first then paint if you've got the option
kirk10 Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 chears mate think i will as it was a right game getting it out must of took me an hour
X FLOW EDDY Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 I was thinking of welding mine but i havent done in the end. I have made captive plates that are welded to the floor so if the need ever arose i can remove the whole thing. By the way your cage looke the biz !! Have you put the extra diaganal, cross door bars and belt bars in your self ?
kirk10 Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 the door bars are an added extra but the belt bars were already on it when i got it
