advise please inlet manifold stud stripped

i picked up me new mk1 escort on friday nead a bit of hellp it has a pinto fited and the threds for one of the inlet manifold studs is stripped now is there a way of fixing this with out taking the head of or is taking the head of the best way

is it the stud thats striped or the hole in the head?

 

is this gareth old mk1?

can you get it out of the head

its the threds in the head that are striped i have removed the stud

tap and die set so you can cut a new thread,depending on which stud it is remove the manifold and do it with the head on,just cover the engine with cloth so no filings go anywhere untoward
