Daveyboy20 Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 Just tried to get a quote for a different car and the Apple Pies won't insure me on a 2.0 because its such a step up from a 1.0. King pricks. They said my best bet would be to go for a 1.2 for the next 6 months until my no claims make a year. Im really really pissed off. Im not happy at all and i should be as i just got paid for the starlet, but im gonna have to buy a King micra or some other pile of shite. NOT HAPPY
DeuceCoupe Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 is that most insurance companies? Have you tried confused.com something might come up if your lucky
Daggle Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 my suggestion is as above confused normally works out ok, just bear in mind that the price they quote can change when you call them up
Admin Mk2Jo Posted November 17, 2006 Admin Report Posted November 17, 2006 Hmm, not good matey Ring around .... there must be someone out there who will insure you for a good price
Burns Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 yeah, i got a quote for a 2.8i capper and they gave me full no clames and everything (historical insurance) and i'm only a sprog like you dude, worth ringing around
Pipster007 Posted November 17, 2006 Report Posted November 17, 2006 yeah, i got a quote for a 2.8i capper and they gave me full no clames and everything To be or not to be, that is the question. A rolling stone gathers no moss! You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead! There you go, there's 3 quotes, now can I have your Capri
Daveyboy20 Posted November 17, 2006 Author Report Posted November 17, 2006 I've calmed down a bit now.. The problem is, i've got no no-claims bonus because i was on my dads insurance for a couple of years then switched companies a couple of times and eventually i settled for endsliegh. I had my micra insured with them for 6 months and when i sold it i cancelled the insurance so i didnt have to pay when i wasnt driving a car, the week after i got my next car but had to restart the policy, new deposit and got rid of my no-claims. It makes sense now but no-one informed me that would happen at the time. So that really pissed me off and then after 4 months on the shitty corsa i swapped it over to my starlet (that im already regretting selling.. ) and now its up to 6 months again so basically if i get a different company i'll have to pay a whopping dposit and start yet again trying to get no claims. grrrr!! Im looking at a 1996 1.3 escort encore later on today but god knows how long before i start reverse donuting the bastard thing out of lack of fun/respect and end up breaking it. The starlet was the fisrt car in a while that i would enjoy popping outside a 2am before bed and giving the wheels a quick tyre shine. Not gonna have that feeling or anything lke it for at least 6 months now the round ones!!! Oh i appear to have pissed myself off again...
