1300 Crossflow Single Barrel Carb or Twin Choke Weber ???

If i fitted in my standard 1300 crossflow (65BHP) with the standard single barrel carb and standard 3 branch manifold would it be far different to having it fitted in with a 32DGV (1300GT) twin choke weber and 4 branch manifold with a 2" single box system?

 

Just wanted to ask really as with the price of petrol if the weber aint gonna make much difference to the performance i wont bother fitting it and the same with the exhaust really

But the biggest question is do they make it any faster or is it just because it sounds faster?

 

Also can you get a 4 branch manifold that will mate up to a standard mk1 escort exhaust?

you can get a ghia manifold and down pipe that will match up to the rest of the exhaust

 

you will gain a little more power not loads though

your dads a wimp get a twin box ashley system and manifold. its prob as cheap as getting a second hand maifold and system.

will fit yes but if youre putting it on to your existing exhaust and want a easy fit the ghia manifold has a clamp just after the 4-2-1 part which clamps onto =a single down pipe which then the rest of the systems the same the sport ones probally the same as this but im not 100% sure

 

alot of people just make their own down pipe to fit the four branch to the system or they buy the full system ie ashley for example
