Shipping from malta

Just wondered if any one has shipped a car from malta, i work with a guy how lives there and said he would be able to sort getting a mk1 escort if i sorted out the shipping, Has anyone done it and what are the prices? also i guess i would have to pay an import tax or as its a classic would there be no tax?

rules used to be quite strict on exporting cars but i dunno about shipping them

i just emailed a shipping company for a qoute so i will see what they say if not i like the sound of a cross europe road trip! thats if i can convince the wife!!

drive it back 24hrs. then do as every 1 else does drive it round on foreign plates for a cpl of years.not that i condoning breaking the law which is an ass
