I wish I was a plumber, I have had 2 plumbers, at my place for 2 days & it cost me dearly..

Maybe I should have had you do it for me in exchange for a engine..

Thats a beautiful engine! I'm rebuilding one at the moment. Could you tell me where I can get new exhaust studs and the nuts thats used on them? The last ones I got from burton power aren't shiney like that. And where do you get those nice coloured bolts holding the thermostat housing on? And is the black paint smootherite too?

Hello mate, the black paint is satin paint, we use halfords, we think its the best, cos it covers well, the bolts on the thermostat housing, & other non stressing places are aluminium, with cowled washers, we have used the same washers on the inlet & more stressed places, but with stainless bolts.. Demon tweeks is where we got all the anodised bolts & washers from.!!

The bolts for the manifold we got from Southern carburettors, in sth wimbledon..

Got my new block soaking in degreaser just now. One last question I see you havent painted the machined faces, like around the water pump. How do you stop them going all rusty? Laquer?
