paint job

hi there in the process of trying to get my car painted now the good bit ,

iv been quoted anything from 900 to 4000 how much to respray a decent capri shell should i pay?

 

also wat color is vista and wat is signal orange as a paint shop thought they were "a shade away from each other " but im sure theyre miles apart anyone any pics please

2500 /3000 grand should be sensible and give you a nice job. Thats what I charge normally another tip is go to a small bodyshop with good equipment. Look how clean the booth is if they let you in the workshop by my standards if a workshop looks badly maintained especially the paint booth it should indicate how proud they work,if they cant look after their own gear they prob wont with yours. Big places have evil overheads and you wont get as much attention focussed on your car cos the guys will be on sold hours or bonus schemes. There is two of us repairing and I do all the paint at mitchvilles. Thats a job that needs three weeks on it to do it nice. Most small places will be able to give it that sort of attention. Under 1500 quid and you will probably have a clown do it as the paint costs bout 400 quid with materials for prep maybe more than that and to be honest the grand left would only give em five rushed days to do it if they wanted a average wage from it so bear that in mind!
