mk2dk Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Hi I have a problem converting this Danish thread size to something that can be used when ordering fittings in UK - ex. from Demon Tweeks. In Denmark the thread is called (1/2" RG) or (whitworth pipethread 55) It has an outside diameter of 20.955 mm - 14 threads pr inch and threadangle is 55 degress. Anyone know the English name for this particular thread ?
V8ian Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Im fairly certain it the same as BSP [british Standard Pipe], but NOT BSPT, Just Googled it and came up with this, which seems to confirm its BSP, http://www.gewinde-normen.de/en/whitwor ... hread.html Ian
mk2dk Posted August 18, 2008 Author Report Posted August 18, 2008 Thanks Ian I'm sure it's 1/2" BSP All the numbers are identical, and here in Denmark it also has that ISO 228 nr.
