benefits of crank and flywheel balancing??

ive only ever had a lightened flywheel once it was on my 2.0 pinto mk2 escort i bought it of ebay already lightened and bolted on my engine

 

dont know if it was balanced i didnt send it or my crank anywhere it reved like fook though and it did well over 100mph what with that the type 9 5 speed box and the 3.89 diff (standard diff for the 1.3 crossflow engine)

 

im looking for a 1.6 pinto flywheel to get lightened for my cortina too

 

it has to be the 1.6 flywheel as its got the 4 speed box and 1.6 clutch in
