caprinerd Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 really are they that cheap then , as ive only looked into the carbs didnt look at price for manifold. But i take your words for it
stefz Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Hi all, and welcome to my first post! I'm in no way commercial..so don't scare me off with a flood of emails.. lol. I'm just a hobbiest the flanges I can get are in 6mm mild steel and shaped for the injection style head port rather than the earlier non-inj type.. as I've just said to Roger, I'm still trying to find a cheap supplier for the tube bends (45 degree) ideally in mild steel (1.75"od)- to match the flange, any ideas would be gratefully received, they don't need to be mandrel bends as 45degrees is not much.. all the best stef

gpcmatric Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 You also need a fuel filter infront of pump must be gauze type and not paper as this restricts flow took esky VAN out for a long blast tonight it sounds the nuts on bike carbs pulls very well
stefz Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Hi all. Just a quickie. The manifold setup I can make up, will still require the bike carbs to be re-spaced, as its very very tricky to get the runners shaped to match the carbs (the spacing varies from bike to bike anyway) atb stefz
