kirk10 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 desided to run with drum brakes on the rear of my car to save on biasing and what not atlas axle and 9 inch standerd drums what hand brake cable do i need to get for it or do i run 2 cables 1 to each wheel then join the 2 up at the hand brake any 1 have pics of a similer set up would be good ? will have willwood up front
hellblue Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 The atlas axles had a rod to one side (runs in the loop on the diff cover) to which the cable goes through i just kept it stock & used the capri cable & bits (it was just long enough having already moved the handbrake lever back 2"in my mk1 cortina) you will have to remount the front adjuster for the cable If the cable is to short speedy cables ect will make you one up this is the best pic i have of it
kirk10 Posted September 7, 2008 Author Report Posted September 7, 2008 o right ive got a watts linkage kit on the diff so wont be able to do it as standerd any 1 done it with 2 seperate cables from the hand brake then 1 to each wheel ?
