The 2009 Classic Ford Tour will take place in the Emerald Isle, and the dates have now been confirmed as Friday May 8 to Monday, May 11-inclusive. Yes, that's right, next year's tour will be over four days instead of three to make the most of Ireland's roads and scenery. Catching the mid-afternoon ferry to Dun Laoghaire, it's just 16 miles to the hotel where we'll be based for three nights. There's a group meal on the Friday night, then on Saturday you can catch the tram right by the hotel into Dublin city centre for a day's Guinness tasting and sight-seeing, while Sunday features a route through the Wicklow mountains designed to get the most out of your classic Ford - just the job to blow off those winter cobwebs. The price is £269 per person and includes three nights' hotel accommodation, return ferry crossings from Holyhead, and group meal on the Friday evening.
