coil over threaded tube is about 6 inches long

how low you go depends on how low you weld the threaded tube down the billie leg

and what lengh spring and so on you go for

mine are welded 3 inches down the billie leg and use 175x12" springs

and will drop 3 inches easy

im new to all this tho so seek better advise

No you cant use the Escort or Capri legs on an Anglia and retain the correct geometry, for a start the Anglia strut steers from the rear of the leg, the Escort and Capri steer from the front of the leg.

How low is dependent on the legs you use, if you use MkII Cortina built to Milton spec then you can get the car lower than you could ever drive it on the road.

The usual is 4" from crossmember to road but there is a guy on here, Dick Dastardly who runs with his crossmember 3.5" from the road and that is a proper low car.

That is because the Milton have specc'ed the Strut Body and insert length based on their experience.

You could not run a standard MkII Cortina leg that had been modified by Gaz at these sort of heights because the insert would bottom out.

Just by fitting shortened springs will also cause the insert to bottom out.

The bottoming out will result in poor handling aswell as damage to the top mount bearings.

Buy the proper stuff and do the job once.

THERE IS NO CHEAP WAY TO LOWER AN ANGLIA !

Lowering Anglia's ain't cheap

My estate is running clasic capri struts with -3" springs... but that's generally frowned upon
