Retro-gone. Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 we sell this at work . perfect replacement for door seals on MK1,2,3 capri and MK2 escort. cant remember how much it is but il find out tommorow, its amazing the difference it makes if your old seals are squashed in, which they will be after 20-30 odd years..

tt capri Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Let me know if you get a price for the seal , as i could do with two capri doors worth , and if you get to scotch corner bring it with you and i will square you up , BUT that means that i ca'nt hide from you this time

Retro-gone. Posted October 24, 2008 Author Report Posted October 24, 2008 lol im not always on the pc, i have a quick look on a morning before i go to work at 8am then i pop on and off thro the evening in between working on my car or bikes, my job is a mobile caravan repairer, the seals used on old caravans are identical to those used on old fords, its pretty much a universal seal.. any more questions guv
Retro-gone. Posted October 25, 2008 Author Report Posted October 25, 2008 still havent got a definate price on the seals cos my boss is away til next thurs, im hoping i can sell it to you guys for no more than £9 per door, does that sound ok? im taking samples of door and boot seals to scotch corner meet tommorow, also taking the stainless bonnet props so come see me if you wanna try em ..
vibrating_Cake Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 put it into context i payed 6quid per door for the same stuff, its a lot thicker than the standard capri stuff. and when you close the door now you get a nice THUD! feels a lot better than the old crap ones well worth doing i must say, although the old doors need a good slam for the first few weeks while the new seals bed in!
Conor Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 You mean to tell me after all this time that that whistling noise you get when driving down the road isn't normal?
