Im buying a cheap runaround (mk5 escort ) as i am at uni and it will kill the mk1 if i keep using it to get there i go canterbury so i am taking it off of the road anyway i can get all of my jobs done on it then

 

Things to do are:

 

Spray both wings again drivers one has a rust patch come up and passenger one someone dented whilst parked up

 

Sort out the handbrake set up and fit new rear drums and shoes afterwards as the handbrake isnt very good and binds if its set for less than 6 clicks.

 

Fit new suspension all round and fit disc front legs and servo will be an inch lower on the front and maybe on the back to not sure yet.

 

Fit 1600GT spec crossflow engine which i will be building up myself will have a BCF3 kent cam and a big valve head with double valve springs.

 

Then i might possibly fit some oldskool bucked seats and a nice set of spotlights on the front (might go for 2 up 2 downs not sure yet?)

 

Anyway it will be off of the road for a while whilst all of the work is completed but once its done again i will have to get my Dad to drive it to the shows etc as i cant afford insurance on 2 cars

 

I will still be on the forum alot ovcourse but just wont be at the meetings for a while
